Call API Endpoint (using cache)

CALL_API_CACHE

Calls the specified API endpoint using the specified header and variables, and stores the result in the specified output variable. The result is cached for future use.

Parameters

  • endpointname (string): The name of the endpoint file, without the .json extension.
  • headername (string): The name of the header file, without the .json extension.
  • variables (string): You can use variables when setting up API calls, so that you, for example, can specify a specific issue number in your call yo the GitHub API without having to change the JSON file for the API call. The variables are comma separated and delineated by a colon, e.g. QUESTION:$QUESTION;INFORMATION:$INFO
  • outputvariable (string): The output variable to return, based on the JSON response, e.g. choices[0].message.content

Returns

Returns either the full JSON response, or the output variable (if defined).
